Melinda Benson is the Clery Act Program Coordinator in the Office of University Compliance and Integrity. Melinda graduated from The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology in 2012 with a M.A. in Higher Education Student Affairs. Melinda brings knowledge of diverse university structures, operations, and policies from her years in the field of student affairs, with experience at public, private, land-grant, and liberal arts institutions. Before joining the OUCI, Melinda worked in Student Affairs at Ohio Wesleyan University where she established the University's Bystander Intervention Training Program, and coordinated the Biennial Review and Alcohol and Other Drug Policy Review Processes. In this and previous roles, Melinda met with students for critical behavioral interventions and provided emergency response, reporting and resolution services on behalf of the University. Melinda holds a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University where she studied Educational Human Resources Development and Sociology.
