Jennifer Yucel has been at The Ohio State University for ten years and is currently the Director of the Office of Research Compliance as well as the University’s Research Integrity Officer. In this role, Jen facilitates research compliance activities across the university, specifically focusing on issues involving research misconduct, export controls, conflict of interest, human gene transfer, human stem cell, and various other compliance areas.
Prior to joining the Office of Research Compliance, Jen worked in The Ohio State University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center as the Director of the Office of Contract Development and Coordination. In this role, Jen and her staff were responsible for all budgeting and contracting activities for all Comprehensive Cancer Center cancer clinical trials. Before that time, Jen worked for a number of small start-up companies in a variety of capacities including as project manager for an oligonucleotide API GMP manufacturing facility and as a systems analyst for a company developing genetic analysis software. Born and raised in Southern California, Jen received her Ph.D. in Cellular Biology from the University of California, San Diego and completed her post-doctoral work at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in La Jolla, California.
